fill those trucks

Organized by the THCF Youth Advisory Council

Each year, Youth Advisory Council collect donations for their annual Fill Those Trucks food drive. By organizing and participating in projects such as this, YAC student leaders get hands-on experience in community-focused philanthropy. The goal of this project is to fill a truck (or van) with non-perishable food and household items at each participating Hy-Vee location in just four hours!

The Youth Advisory Council Raises funds for their Endowment

For more than 20 years, the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) at Truman Heartland Community Foundation has been empowering students in Eastern Jackson County to change their communities through philanthropy. Each year, students from area high schools work together to give back, gaining hands-on experience in grantmaking, fundraising, and volunteering.
