The family of Stella Moran established this scholarship as a permanent legacy to Stella. Education was always important to Stella, and she greatly admired those who dedicated their lives to teaching. This scholarship supports undergraduate education majors at Baker University or Central Methodist University.
Eligibility:
- Must be pursing an undergraduate degree in primary or secondary education at Baker University or Central Methodist University;
- Must have a minimum of 60 credit hours at time of application.
Amount:
May be $500 – $1,000 per academic year.
Renewable:
Yes, this scholarship can be renewed for up to two additional year of funding. An application must be submitted annually with proof of continuing college enrollment and a minimum college cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Deadline:
The General Application will be opened December 15 and will be due (including any additional requirements for scholarships you may be matched with) April 1.
Please note that the general application requires transcripts showing grades from Fall Semester 2023. Any applications submitted with transcripts omitting Fall Semester 2023 will not be considered.
Requirements:
- A short essay on how you believe becoming an educator will enable you to give back to your community.
- A short essay on how your involvement in the extracurricular, community service, and work activities in which you choose to participate has influenced your decision to be come an educator.
- A letter of reference is needed from a teacher, coach, pastor or mentor (influential adult).
