Brandon Cole Gieselman was born on July 18, 1983. He was the son of Mark and Nancy Gieselman and brother of Tara Gieselman of Lafayette County. Brandon had a zest for life and was an avid outdoorsman and horseman. He was an active member of the Young Riders 4‐H Club and the Lexington FFA Chapter.
On October 24, 1999, at the age of 16, Brandon tragically lost his life in an automobile accident. In his honor, those who loved Brandon have established this scholarship in his name to provide 4‐H and FFA participants assistance in furthering their education.
Eligibility:
- Must be a graduating high school senior or college student with membership in a Lafayette County 4-H Club or FFA Chapter;
- Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited junior college, college, or university;
- Must have demonstrated academic excellence;
- Must have demonstrated financial need.
Amount:
May be $500 – $1,000.
Renewable:
Not a renewable scholarship.
Deadline:
The General Application will be opened December 2 and will be due (including any additional requirements for scholarships you may be matched with) February 14.
Requirements:
- Transcripts showing grades from Fall Semester 2023. Any applications submitted with transcripts omitting Fall Semester 2023 will not be considered.
- Download the Gieselman Scholarship 4-H Information Form or Gieselman Scholarship FFA Information Form to submit when requested.
