Alpha Iota Educational Foundation (AIEF) established the Rich and Ruth Swanson Memorial Scholarship as a memorial to member Rich Swanson and his wife Ruth. The scholarship reminds both incoming freshman to Missouri University of Science and Technology and alumni of Sigma Pi to leave a lasting legacy to all around us and those that come after us.

Eligibility:

• Must be a graduating high school senior (or equivalent);
• Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree at Missouri University of Science and Technology;
• Must have minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0;
• Must have demonstrated leadership skills and good character;
• Preference may be given to members or intended members of the Alpha Iota Chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity but this is NOT REQUIRED.

Amount:

Up to $5,000.

Renewable:

This is not a renewable scholarship.

Deadline:

Applications must be submitted by August 31.
