For nearly 30 years, the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) at Truman Heartland Community Foundation has been empowering students in Eastern Jackson County to change their communities through philanthropy.
Each year, students from area high schools work together to give back, gaining hands-on experience in grant making, fundraising, and volunteering.

Strike in the Night is a family-friendly bowling event. We rent out the whole Lunar Bowl facility for our YAC students and their guests.
The funds raised support the group's grantmaking efforts and provide a fun way for students to get together to make a difference in their communities.
