For more than 20 years, the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) at Truman Heartland Community Foundation has been empowering students in Eastern Jackson County to change their communities through philanthropy. Each year, students from area high schools work together to give back, gaining hands-on experience in grantmaking, fundraising, and volunteering.

Back by popular demand ... YAC's 2023 fundraiser will be Strike in the Night, a family-friendly bowling event. We have rented out the whole facility and look forward to a large turnout. The funds raised support the group's grantmaking efforts and provide a fun way for students to get together to make a difference in their communities. Download a flyer!
