Nonprofits Responding to Community Needs and COVID-19

We are working hard to support our community through the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is a critical time for nonprofits and agencies that serve those most vulnerable in our community. There is no doubt that increased transmission of the virus and social distancing methods to limit the spread are having a big impact on our region.

A recent survey by Nonprofit Connect found that local nonprofits are facing a strong increase in demand for services, decreased revenues, and increased operational expenses caused by the pandemic. These organizations need our support now more than ever.

To help our nonprofits during this unprecedented crisis, Truman Heartland is fast-tracking our competitive grants cycle, rounding up resources for nonprofits and encouraging fundholders to donate to nonprofit organizations who are working hard to address the growing needs and continue to serve those most at risk in our community even in the face of this challenge.
