Liz McClure is transitioning into a new role at the Community Foundation. Liz, who has been on the Foundation staff for 23 years will now be working part time, approximately 20 hours per week. I am very pleased that Liz has decided to continue working part time and not retire so we can continue to benefit from her talents, skills, and institutional knowledge. As Donor Relations Advisor, Liz will continue her work with our fund holders, advising them on utilizing their fund to reach their charitable giving goals and providing advice on utilizing their fund with their estate planning. So, those of you who have worked with Liz for many years will be able to count on her continued support. Her schedule will be flexible and at this time she plans on working Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
I am also pleased to announce that Rachael Cassiday Watkins has been promoted to Director of Programs and Donor Services. In addition to her current duties, Rachael will be picking up the responsibility for our Community Grants program. Rachael joined our staff team in March of 2015 and has worked closely with Liz assuming responsibility for our 80 plus scholarship programs, processing grant requests for our Donor Advised Fund Holders, and working closely with me on our Community for All Ages Coalition.
Lynn Oltmanns role will also be transitioning to work more closely with Rachael on processing grants from our growing number of Donor Advised Funds. She will continue in her roles as the master of our Foundation database software and support for our Youth Advisory Council.
Shannon Sundberg will be assuming full responsibility for our Toast to our Towns Gala. I am also pleased to welcome Lauren Pope to our staff team effective July 1st. Lauren will be working for Shannon in a new Marketing Associate position. See the article below for more information about Lauren and her role on our foundation staff team.
