Planned Giving. No Zombies.

Although it's October and Halloween is just around the corner, this is no ghost story. We don't have a secret magic potion to reanimate the dead, so they can continue supporting their favorite charities and causes. No. That would just be creepy. We do have a simple way to make decisions now that will live on beyond your years. No zombies necessary.

Throughout your life, you have worked hard, saved wisely, and given back to the community programs and projects you love. You may be a current Donor Advised Fund account holder or a community-focused person with a giving heart. Whatever the case, have you considered the possibility of continuing your charitable giving, even after death?

Planned giving is all about planning ahead; planning for how you want to distribute your assets among your family, friends, and the organizations closest to your heart. Your professional advisor can guide your specific estate, beneficiaries, income goals, taxes, and other considerations. Truman Heartland Community Foundation is uniquely positioned to help you develop a strategy that will allow your philanthropic legacy to continue for years to come. Whatever funding strategy works for you, a permanently endowed fund can be your legacy.

Call, email, or come by our Independence office to see Cole and discuss how to integrate planned giving into your overall financial goals.
